‘All good things must come to an end’
Travel, Weblogs November 14th, 2006A popular cliche, but I agree nonetheless. If good things don’t end then there’s no way of telling if an experience is better than another. Life would be monotonous.
My brother, mother and I just came back from a 21-day European tour. We backpacked and crammed our way into 6 countries (about 13 cities and towns) in that 21 days, ala Amazing Race. We planned our own itinerary, since getting a packaged tour would cost us a fortune. We had no tour guides, except for some family friends that we visited along the way.
It was really a great experience! While we were touring, I asked my mom and brother a couple of times: "Nanaginip lang ba tayo?". It was hard to believe that we were there in the places that we only saw on TV and movies.
What made the trip more enjoyable for me was that it was also a chance to bond with my brother and mother whom I haven’t spent much time lately since they are here in Lebanon. (Even if while during the trip my mother and I were usually arguing. Hehe). My brother and I also kept on making her the target of our biruan. =)
I have so many experiences to share. I would like to make a journal of our trip but I have no time to write right now. I also have to organize about a thousand pictures and videos. As soon as I’m finished I will upload and share it.
Only 1 week left and I will be back to the Philippines and back to work. I’m sure that I will have a hangover of the trip when I return. But for now I will enjoy my remaining week here in Lebanon, which I find beautiful contrary to what I was expecting before coming here. =)
