The subjects of my current lineup of books to read are mostly about applying Christian values in everyday life (purposeful living / discipline / dating / leadership). As much as possible I want to finish all of them but I don’t have enough time. What usually happens is I start one and read as long as the need or interest is still there. That’s the wonder of self-improvement / self-help books; you don’t have to finish in order gain and learn things from them.

But thank God for audio books! They are very convenient. I can listen to them while commuting and while at work. That makes it easier for me to finish.

The first audio book that I bought was Wild at Heart: Discovering the Secret of a Man’s Soul by John Eldredge (highly recommended to men!). I was supposed to buy it on paper but the bookstore where I asked said that is was out of stock, but they had an audio book version. I was hesitant to buy it at first since I prefer a real book that will go in my collection but I’m glad that I did try. I was able to finish it in a few days.

Today, I bought two more audio books. One is titled Disciplines of a Godly Man by R. Kent HughesThe other is Balancing Work and Life by Bill Butterworth. I hope that I’ll have the time to share some of the important things in these audio books here in my blog as many people can benefit from it.
